About the Conference

  • Increasing human population and subsequent increasing demands are resulting into burden on natural resources and environment degradation. According to reports by 2030, an additional 1 billion people are expected to live in severely water-stressed areas and global terrestrial biodiversity is expected to decline an additional 10%, leading to a loss of essential ecosystem services. By 2050, growing levels of dangerous air emissions from transport and industry will increase the global number of premature deaths linked to airborne particulate matter to 3.6 million people a year. Failure to act could also lead to a 50% increase in global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and global mean temperature increases of 3-6°C by the end of the century, in turn contributing to more severe and sometimes more frequent natural disasters, such as heat waves, tropical cyclones, floods and landslides. Further pressure on "environmental planetary boundaries" risks causing widespread, abrupt and possibly irreversible changes to basic Earth-system processes on which the well-being of present and future generations depends. The biggest challenge is to exploit natural resources available in such a way that conserves the environment and proceed to development but doesn't compromise its long-term future i.e. sustainability.
  • Environment, Development and Sustainability represents three integrated issues that form the main ongoing challenge of this century. The goal of environmental sustainability is to conserve natural resources and to develop alternate sources while reducing pollution and harm to the environment. Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
  • To save our planet we have to minimize the depletion of natural resources, promote development without causing harm to the environment and make use of environmentally friendly practices. Developing and developed countries should maintain balance between environment and development for sustainability for mother earth. It is need of hour to research, discuss and manage development and environment with sustainable goals.
  • This International conference provides an ideal opportunity for you to present your research works, share your project experience, ideas and knowledge among the international delegates drawn from global academic community.
